Champions Place – Roswell, GA
Champions Place, located in Roswell, GA, is a one-of-a-kind residential facility, but it’s so much more! It gives 16 young adults with physical disabilities such as cerebral palsy, spina bifida, muscular dystrophy, and physical injury a chance to experience independent and productive lives while benefiting from the latest adaptive technology. Google Sound Assist Technology allows residents to use voice commands to operate doors, TVs, music, and blinds. Besides the 16 accessible bedrooms and bathrooms, Champions Place has a large common area for meals and gatherings. Additional features include a hydro-spa therapy room and multiple beautiful outdoor social gathering areas.
This amazing home is also a social hub for the entire Champion community, consisting of more than 80 physically challenged young adults and families in the Atlanta vicinity. The site is approximately 4 acres and was constructed over an old construction landfill. Due to the unstable soils, the building is supported on 100+ titanium piers ranging from a few feet to 60 feet.
